About Edward Halloran

The law firm's founder, Edward F. Halloran, is considered by many to be one of the most respected and skillful personal injury/insurance litigators in the Hampton Roads area. Many of his most successful cases were turned away by other law firms. In his over 30 years of practice, Mr. Halloran has obtained hundreds of verdicts to the satisfaction of his clients including awards for such things as inconvenience, pain and suffering both mental and physical, loss of wages and ability to earn wages and for general diminished quality of life caused by injuries sustained from the negligence of others. In many cases, his clients, while suffering from permanent symptoms from their injuries, were back to work and living productive lives at the time of their trials. Of course, case results depend on a variety of factors unique to each case and prior results do not guarantee or predict similar results in any future case undertaken by an attorney.

One of the secrets of his success is that he personally handles a case from beginning to end. He has been in the active and continuous practice of law for the last twenty-two years, since his graduation from law school in 1976.

Edward F. Halloran graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1971 and then received his law degree from St. Mary's University of San Antonio, Texas graduating in 1976. Prior to his legal education, Mr. Halloran was a member of the United States Naval Reserve from 1967 to 1972. While in law school, he was a staff writer for the Legal Research Board, and he was given the award for Outstanding academic Achievement by the Phi Alpha Delta law Fraternity. He is admitted to practice in Virginia and Texas, in the United States District Court, the Supreme Court of Virginia, the United States Court of Appeals, the Untied States Court of Claims, the United States Court of Military Appeals. Mr. Halloran is a self-made individual who completed his four year undergraduate and three year law school degree programs without any financial assistance from family and friends, relying only on scholarships, loans and hard work. As a Vietnam era veteran, he satisfied his military commitment in 1971 to 1972 after obtaining aBachelor of Science degree from Penn State University. His broad work experience in many fields ranging from manufacturing to all phases of construction allows him to better communicate with clients, judges, and juries and to better understand, prove, and argue successfully the facts and circumstances of each case.
